Choose The Perfect Size For Your Window

Mado simplifies the burden of precise measuring. You only need an approximate width range for your shades. There are two options that affect width: Inside Mount or Outside Mount.

Good news — we include hardware for both mounting options in every box, so you’ll have the flexibility to decide what works best when you install.

Don’t worry: if the size you choose doesn’t work, Mado makes returns and exchanges simple.

Inside Mount

If your window allows it, we recommend this option!

It provides a clean, built-in look with the snuggest fit — meaning less light gap and a sleeker finish.

Outside Mount

An outside mount is a great alternative when an inside mount isn’t feasible. Consider this option if:

Your window frame is less than 1" deep
There’s no flat surface inside the frame to mount the shade
The window is narrower than 23”
The window is wider than 73”, and you're planning to install multiple shades side-by-side
In these cases, an outside mount gives you more flexibility — and still looks fantastic!
