Add a Shade

Did you update your shade?

Before you add your shade to the Mado Home app, make sure it is up to date.

If you haven't already, update your shade firmware in the Mado Home app first.

Connect your shade

New shade?

Press the NWK button on the underside of your shade once.

Look for a blinking purple light -- this means your shade is ready to connect.

Naming Your Shades

Pro Tip: Keep it short

Short names work best for automation and voice control.

  • Use positions (1, 2, 3 left-to-right)
  • Use window types (Picture, Slider), or nearby features (Sink, Desk, Couch)
  • Don't use the room name -- that will already be displayed

Find the QR code on your shade

On the bottom of your shade, near the buttons, is a Matter QR code.
